Advocacy Services

Advocacy

Works on a local, state and federal level to secure policy changes that benefit individuals with disabilities.  The goal is to help people with disabilities access the goods and services they need to live independent lives. This includes: Educational Advocacy (assistance with Individual Education Plans = IEP’s), Housing, Community Accessibility, and Nursing Home Transition.

Housing Coordination Services

Provides information on affordable, accessible housing in the Greater Toledo Area.

Nursing Home Transition

Assists persons in moving from a nursing home or hospital rehabilitation center into his/her own apartment. The program can also assist a person in moving into an apartment in lieu of a nursing home stay.

Education Advocacy

Knowledgeable and experienced specialists provide assistance regarding the IEP (individual Education Plan) and 504 Plan processes for parents with children with disabilities in school in order to create the best possible educational experience for the child.
