Disability Awareness Training
Disability Awareness Training
Since 2001, the Center’s highly rated training program has featured hands-on participation, one-on-one interaction and panel discussions to help business men and women and civic leaders gain a better understanding of people with disabilities and how to communicate and work with them – for everyone’s benefit. Past participants have confirmed that they gained a deeper appreciation of the obstacles faced by persons with disabilities in accomplishing simple, everyday tasks. They also tell us that they have become more motivated to change what they can in their own sphere of influence to improve both physical and attitudinal situations so that obstacles to persons with disabilities are eliminated.
